Swing holds your tasks, your journal, your habits and your conversations with Zeus. That is about as personal as software data gets, so this page is written to be read rather than to cover us. If anything here is unclear, email hello@getswing.co.uk and we will fix the wording.
The short version. We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not show you ads. You can export or delete everything. Notes you mark as locked are never sent to any AI, including Zeus.

When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider, plus a unique account identifier. We never see your password. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever receive Apple's relay address, and that is fine — everything works the same.
Everything you create in the app: tasks, projects, notes, journal entries, habits and their history, schedule blocks, weekly reviews, files and photos you attach, and video journal recordings. You gave it to us to hold; that is the entire product.
Each of these is off until you switch it on, and each can be disconnected in Settings at any time.
Standard server logs from our hosting provider — IP address, timestamps, error traces — kept to keep the service running and to debug faults.
On this marketing website (getswing.co.uk) we can measure which adverts bring people here, using Meta's advertising cookies. This is off until you press Accept on the banner. Press Decline and nothing loads: no Meta script is fetched, no cookie is set, no event is sent, and we do not ask again.
If you accept, and then join the waitlist, we tell Meta that a signup happened. Your email address is sent as an irreversible SHA-256 hash, never in the clear, so Meta can match it to an account it already has without us handing over a readable address. We send the same event twice on purpose — once from your browser and once from our server — tagged with an identifier so Meta counts it once rather than twice.
Changed your mind? Reset your choice and the banner will ask again.
None of this touches the app. Signed-in Swing — your tasks, notes, journal, habits and Zeus conversations — carries no advertising tracker of any kind, whichever button you press here.

Zeus is Swing's built-in assistant. To answer you, the content relevant to your question is sent to an AI provider — currently Google (Gemini), and potentially other providers such as Anthropic in future. That can include your tasks, schedule, habits, journal entries and notes, because that is what makes an answer about your week useful rather than generic.
Locked notes are never sent to any AI. A note you mark as locked is excluded from every AI surface — Zeus in the app, Zeus on WhatsApp, and the Claude connector. That is enforced in code, not policy, and it is the mechanism to use for anything you want kept out of an AI's context entirely.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we instruct our providers not to either. If you never open Zeus and never connect Claude, none of your content is sent to an AI provider at all.
AI conversations are private to you. Even inside a shared team workspace, other members cannot read your Zeus history.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing. It is shared only with the infrastructure providers that make the app work:
If you join a shared workspace, other members of that workspace can see the projects, tasks and notes shared into it — that is the point of sharing. Your journal, habits, private notes, inbox and Zeus conversations stay yours and are not visible to teammates.
We may disclose data if legally required to, or to protect someone's safety. If Swing is ever sold or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner, and we will tell you before that happens so you can leave first.
Swing runs on Google Cloud infrastructure, and data may be processed in the United States as well as the UK and Europe. Transfers out of the UK/EEA rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your content is kept as long as your account exists. Delete an item and it goes; delete your account and we remove your content from live systems promptly and from backups within 30 days. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days. We may keep minimal records where the law requires it.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent for any integration at any time by disconnecting it in Settings.
To exercise any of these, email hello@getswing.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days and we do not charge for it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
You can delete your account and all its content from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app. It is immediate and it is not reversible. If you cannot reach the app, email us and we will do it for you.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is enforced per-account at the database level, not just hidden in the interface — the rules that decide who can read what run on the server. We keep secrets in a managed secret store, never in our source code. No system is perfect; if we ever suffer a breach affecting your data we will tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
Swing is not intended for under-16s and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. We will not quietly broaden what we do with your data.
